SACRED INTERLUDES
In the rhythm of creation, there are moments that fall between the grand movements - quiet whispers that deserve their own space. This collection holds the singular reflections that emerged in the “Selah” of the studio. Here, the dialogue between the Creator and the created continues in the margins, captured through tactile layers of mixed media, ink, oil and the soft resonance of a bated breath. These are the fragments of grace that remind us: every stroke is a prayer, every pause is a provision.
A Tapestry of Tended Souls: This mixed-media work in oil and ink explores the narrative of Attunement - the synchronised harmony between the human spirit, the strength of the earth (the horse), and the delicate movement of prayer (the bird). Through Sacred Layers, the piece reveals how the “Light of the World” uncovered grace within the weathered textures of our lives. The Haven of His Presence: “Enter His gates with thanksgiving..” (Psalm 100:4)> A visual “Sacred Selah” this piece captures the profound intimacy of a soul at rest. Built upon a foundational layer of decoupaged Scripture, the artwork illustrates the moment the noise of the world fades, and the “still small voice” becomes the primary melody. Through layers of warm oil glazes and delicate ink-work, The Haven of His Presence explores the anatomy of a spiritual encounter. The descending dove - a symbol of the Comforter - settles upon the figure in a halo of light, representing the sudden, gentle arrival of peace that surpasses understanding.
