Layers of Ink, oil and revealed light
Welcome to a space where art becomes an altar. Each stroke of oil and ink is a recorded breath - a conversation between the Word and the world. Here, the “Between the Bloom and Wing” isn’t just a composition; it is the anatomy of a prayer. I invite you to linger among these layers, finding the hidden promises tucked within the textures and the light that reveals them.
“Capturing the delicate dialogue between the Creator and the created.”
‘BEHOLD THE RADIANT QUIET’
"Art is the soul's way of saying 'Selah' - to pause, to breath, and to behold the Radiant Quiet." Liezle
“In the stillness between wingbeats, there is a song of thanksgiving that requires no voice. This piece, part of the Bird Series, explores the ‘Spectrum of Praise’ found in the delicate details of the created. Through layers of oil and the intentional revelation of light, we are invited to witness a moment of pure, radiant presence.”
THE ART OF UNVEILING
My process is like a physical prayer. Many pieces begins with a foundation of the Word, decoupaged directly onto the canvas. I then build depth through layers of ink and oil, representing the complexities of our journey.
An important step is the SUBTRACTION METHOD: instead of painting light on, I lift the layers away to reveal the light already hidden beneath. It is a reminder that beauty isn’t always about what we add - it’s about what the Creator reveals when we are still.
"Every brushstroke is a word in a conversation I am having with the Creator."
